What We Look For in an Educator

Prelude Prep prioritizes hiring mission-driven teachers who thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment with a strong culture of learning and support.

We look for educators who bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (required for all teaching positions)

  • A track record of helping students grow, or the ability and drive to do so

  • Certification (not required for every role but a plus)

  • A positive, flexible mindset and an “all hands on deck” attitude

  • Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement

  • Enthusiasm for working closely with colleagues and sharing ideas

APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1. Online Application
Submit your application to get started. Be sure your resume is up to date and free of errors. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out—we’re here to help!

Step 2. Video Responses
We’d love to learn more about you through a short questionnaire and a few brief video responses. This helps us get to know your personality and passion for teaching.

Step 3. Virtual Interview
Our hiring team looks forward to meeting you virtually. You can expect conversational questions about your experience, a few scenarios to understand how you approach your work, and time for your questions, too.

Step 4. Demonstration Lesson
You’ll have the opportunity to share a sample lesson so we can see your teaching style in action. We’ll provide details in advance so you feel prepared and comfortable.

Step 5. Offer Letter
After a successful demonstration lesson, qualified candidates will receive an offer letter to join our team.
