School Day Schedule

We know that understanding the school day helps families plan with confidence. Below is an overview of a typical day at Prelude Prep.

Regular School Day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)

Arrival & Breakfast
Students may arrive beginning at 7:15 am. Breakfast is served during this time.

Tardy Bell
The school day begins promptly at 7:45 am.

Dismissal
Students are dismissed at 3:45 pm.

Wednesdays (Early Release- Free After Care Available)

Wednesdays follow an early-release schedule to allow time for staff professional development.

The school day begins at 7:45 am.

Early Dismissal
Students are dismissed at 12:00 pm.

Wednesday Care Options
Free care is available from 12:00–3:45 pm for families who need it.
After school care is available from 3:45–6:00 pm.

Before & After School Care

For families who need extended hours, before and after school care is available.

Before School Care
Available starting at 6:15 am.

After School Care
Available until 6:00 pm.

A Typical Day at Prelude Prep

Students receive instruction in core subjects including Reading/English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, along with enrichment classes such as PE, Art, or Music.

In the elementary grades, students have two daily recesses and time for play centers, giving them opportunities to move, play, and reset during the day.

In the Upper School grades, students continue learning in core subjects and enrichment while building greater independence, responsibility, and leadership.
